Before you can start your adventure in your Zion cabin rental, you have to get here. Depending on where you’re visiting from, this could mean quite a journey.

Southern Utah is home to some of the most incredible outdoor destinations in the U.S. There are multiple national parks, state parks, national monuments, and more to explore. But what the area doesn’t have is an international airport. Luckily, there are a couple of options just a short drive away.

Unless you’re planning a road trip to get to Gooseberry Lodges, you’ll likely pass through one of three airports in the area. If it’s your first time planning a stay in a Zion cabin rental, keep reading to learn more about the region’s three primary airports, and what you need to know to choose the right one for your visit.

Harry Reid International Airport

Perhaps the most common airport that Zion cabin rental guests fly into is Harry Reid International Airport, located in Las Vegas, Nevada. This airport is the closest international airport to our Zion National Park rentals and is located about two and a half hours from Gooseberry Lodges.

In addition to being the closest international airport, Harry Reid offers hundreds of daily flights, giving visitors more options when it comes to choosing an airline, departure airport, and flight time. There are also plenty of hotels located close to the airport, making it easy to do a layover at the beginning or end of your trip if your flights are early or late in the day.

Salt Lake City International Airport

The next closest international airport to cabins in Zion National Park is Salt Lake City International Airport. Like Harry Reid International Airport, there are hundreds of daily flights into this airport from across the country and around the world. But you will have a longer drive to your Zion cabin rental after your plane arrives.

The drive from Salt Lake City International Airport to our camping cabins near Zion National Park is around four and a half hours. But if you don’t mind the drive or if you want to visit Salt Lake City during your getaway, this airport might give you additional options when it comes to flight times and prices.

St. George Regional Airport

Having two international airports to choose from just a few hours away makes it easier to shop around for a great deal for your flight. Of course, staying in camping cabins near Zion National Park is another great way to save some money during your visit, and to leave more money in your pocket to spend on your flight.

If you don’t mind shelling out some extra cash for your flight and want to land as close to our cabins as possible, this next option might be the best choice for you.

The closest airport to your Zion cabin rental will be St. George Regional Airport. This airport is just forty minutes from Gooseberry Lodges, which makes for a quick and easy drive after you arrive.

St. George Regional Airport is a small regional airport, which means that there are a limited number of daily flights and no international arrivals or departures. Several major airlines, including Delta, Allegiant Airlines, American Airlines, and United fly into St. George from other Western hubs, like Salt Lake City and Denver.

If you want to minimize your time on the road and make the most of your vacation time, flying into St. George is the answer. You can fly from your nearest airport to a hub, then transfer to St. George. After your arrival, you’ll have a 45 minute drive to the park. Transfer services are available, or you can rent a car and drive to your Springdale Utah vacation rentals.

Flights into St. George are often higher priced than those you’ll find in major international airports in the area, and you’ll be more limited on when you can fly or which airline you choose. But if you’re planning a short trip or don’t want to spend a lot of time in the car, this can be a great choice for your visit.

How to Get to and From the Airport

No matter which airport you choose to fly into, you have a few options for getting from the airport to your Zion lodging.

St. George Regional Airport has rental desks for two major car rental companies located onsite; Avis and Enterprise. Most major U.S. rental car companies have on-site rental desks at both Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas and the Salt Lake City International Airport.

Renting a car is the best way to not only get to and from the airport at the beginning and end of your trip, but will also allow you to explore the many day trips and local destinations close to your Zion cbain rental during your stay.
